Dramatic.

I delivered the above flowers to midtown yesterday. By the time I finished arranging, it was late and there was no natural light, but, I like the dramatic shots that I did get.

In other news..... this week we linked up with some amazing blogs.

The always beautiful and inspiring Green Wedding Shoes.

A new personal favorite, Postcards and Pretties, who creates the most amazing inspiration boards.

And, the tasteful and never fussy, Classic Bride.

Have a lovely weekend!

Yellow.

We love masses of daffodils-- cheerful, simple and forward thinking (spring!).
This year we are honored to be creating the centerpieces for the annual Ticonderoga Ball. We plan on making the centerpieces with different varieties of daffodils. Check back for pictures of the event in the coming week.

Paint,Print,Collage.

Giving the gift of flowers can now last a little longer! Whenever we get a request to send a gift arrangement, we include a handmade note-card, designed by Ruth. These keepsakes are pretty enough to frame!
The cards are designed in three ways. Either they are made with handcarved stamps, beautiful rice papers or even painted directly on to the card. QuatreCoeur also sells these in sets. Here are a few pictures of some of our Spring favorites.

City Hall Bouquet

A few weeks ago two of my dear friends tied the knot at City Hall. I had the pleasure of attending the ceremony and making her bouquet and his button-hole.

Interior Botanicals

Plants don't have to be boring. These particular plants are a type of kalanchoe. They are super easy to care for: not much water and moderate sun.

Get well.

This is a delivery from last week. Both arrangements went to a lady who had just broken her ankle. I used some of my current favorites: gloriosa lilies, ranunculus, and tulips.

Rustic Valentine.

When we walked into Smith & Butler we instantly feel in love with the shop. Apart from the classic clothing, motorcycle helmets, and jewelry, they sell a number of interesting containers that we dreamed of putting flowers and branches in. (The vintage silver gravy boat was our favorite.)

The good news is that we no longer have to just dream about putting beautiful and unusual flowers, plants and branches in Smith & Butler, because our work is there now! Stop by and check out it out!

Yesterday I dropped off a Valentine's Day inspired arrangement and a pot of succulents (which we think is a great Valentine's day gift for the gentlemen).

Thank you.

Miranda Bennett over at Council Boutique was kind enough to mention us on her blog. So we made this arrangement to thank her. Miranda and her partner,Pamela Johnston have a beautiful shop. The clothing and jewelry is playful and feminine. We looked for flowers that were the same.

The recipe: "Faith" roses, hot pink "Magolica"spray roses, kermit mums, lisianthus, and orange ornithagalum.
