On May 21, we created these effortlessly pretty wedding flowers for a lovely couple: Cynthia and Jamaal.
Cynthia collected many of her own decorative elements like the vintage books, burlap overlays, and mason jars. We styled all these elements and added big, blousy seasonal flowers in a soft watercolor palette, including local white lilac, hydrangea, peony, and snowball viburnum. The overall effect created was elegant, yet laid back: perfect for dinner under a candlelit tent.
And then there is her dress! Just look at the photos and you will understand what is impossible to describe here. So beautiful and at the same time (dare we say) comfortable looking!
The wedding took place at The Brooklyn Society of Ethical Culture. Portrait photos were taken from the talented Elizabeth Millay's blog. To see more images from this wedding click here. All of these fabulous "flower portraits" were taken by Anna Peters. View more of her work here.
